Editorial policy

How Koledou researches, writes, reviews and updates buying guides.

Our purpose

Every Koledou guide should help a reader make a more informed decision without creating artificial urgency. We begin with the job a product must perform, then identify the few specifications and ownership questions that materially change the choice.

Research standards

Our research may include manufacturer manuals, standards bodies, regulatory guidance, warranty terms, retailer specifications and documented owner experiences. Each article states its scope. We do not describe desk research as hands-on testing.

How recommendations are formed

  • Define the use case before selecting products.
  • Check compatibility, total ownership cost and return constraints.
  • Explain meaningful disadvantages beside advantages.
  • Avoid rankings based only on popularity or commission rate.
  • Link important technical claims to primary sources where practical.

Commercial independence

Affiliate availability does not determine whether a product is included. Editorial conclusions are written before commercial links are added. Advertisers and merchants do not receive approval rights over our coverage.

Corrections and updates

Guides display a review date. We update material errors, changed compatibility details and significant availability changes. Readers can report an issue through our contact page.
